The hotel's Asian inspiration is a fun change for preppy Boston. Large guest rooms—for the city, anyway—are outfitted with contemporary Asian design, HD LCD TV's, and 400-thread-count linens that will have you snoring in no time. Some rooms have beautiful views of the bustling Back Bay neighborhood.

Bathroom

Oversize bathrooms include a soaking tub and separate walk-in showers.

Lobby

The limestone-and-marble lobby offers direct access to the Prudential Center and Copley Place, and other gallery-like public areas are adorned with museum-quality art. Feel like a pot of seasonal tea at check-in? It's complimentary.

Spa

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Boston, is perhaps the most luxurious in all of Boston. Focusing on both the mind and body, they offer everything from massages and facials to craniosacral therapy and Himalayan Singing Bowls. It's also one of the few spas in the country to feature Biologique Recherche, and the only spa in the U.S. to offer Linda Meredith Couture Facials.

You Should Know If you've booked a service at the spa, head over 45 minutes early so you can enjoy the quartz crystal steam room and vitality pool.

Gym

The state-of-the-art fitness center has the usual cardio and weight lifting machines, as well as unique touches like a personal Kinesis Wall and TRX Suspension Training. Personal trainers are also available upon request, as are private yoga and Pilates classes.

Tip Prefer to get outside the gym? Just ask the concierge for a jogging map.

Dining

The hotel's signature restaurant is Bar Boulud, a French-inspired bistro and wine bar from internationally acclaimed chef Daniel Boulud.

Tip Trust us- don't skip a glance as the dessert menu.

Drinking

The wine bar at Bar Boulud specializes in options from areas near Boulud's hometown of Lyon, France. However, they have many varieties of wine from beyond France, and also feature a popular cocktail menu. The Lobby Lounge also hosts a Champagne afternoon tea through March 31st.
