The Tiny Hotel That Has Britain Buzzing

Bee Hotel

Bees looking to kick back in the lap of luxury now have a hotel designed just for them. The tiny hotel is about the size of a dollhouse and was inspired by Wes Anderson’s 2014 film The Grand Budapest Hotel, which in turn was based on the Corinthia Hotel in Budapest. British tea brand Taylors of Harrogate teamed up with Kew Gardens in order to raise awareness of the importance of bees and to encourage people to set up their own bee-friendly hotels. The mini luxury hotel features amenities like a peppermint leaf swimming pool, rhubard sugar water bath, and a daily supply of cherries.

I grew up in the shadow of the Appalachians in western Maryland. I received my B.A. in English literature from Washington College and moved to Los Angeles, where I’ve fallen in love with the gorgeous weather and abundance of food trucks.
