You know what they say. It's not about the destination; it's about the journey. Well, how does three free nights in Tahiti sound for a journey? Air Tahiti Nui is offering a free three-night stopover in Tahiti when you book a roundtrip flight from Los Angeles to Auckland, New Zealand or Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne, Australia. Feel free to take your Tahiti time as a warm-up on the way there or as a wind-down on the way back.

While in Tahiti, guests can stay at one of three resorts: the Sofitel Tahiti Maeva Beach Resort, Le Meridien, or Radisson Plaza Resort Tahiti (which includes a free upgrade to a Waterfront Premium Suite or Duplex).

As part of the package, the airline is also offering savings up to 80% on upgrades to packages at other hotels, including a Garden Suite plus free stay/meals for kids at Manava Suite Resort Tahiti (from $75/person for all three nights); one night at the Intercontinental Resort Tahiti and two nights at the Intercontinental Resort and Spa Moorea (from $150/person); or spend your three nights at Le Meridien Tahiti in an Overwater Bungalow (from $225/person for all three nights).

Prices for the package start at $1,298/person for flights to Auckland and $1,697/person for flights to Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, and include roundtrip airfare, taxes, surcharges and the three free nights. Book your tickets now through June 22 for travel between August 24, 2012 and March 31, 2013. Click here for more information, or call 877-824-4846.
