Make the most of spring and get away to enjoy the season’s best fêtes and festivals. Herewith three not-to-miss spring celebrations, along with a few hotel deals to help you on your way.

National Cherry Blossom Festival

Washington, D.C.; Through April 27

Thanks to the unseasonably warm—but oh-so-lovely—weather, DC’s pretty cherry blossoms (celebrating their 100th anniversary this year) are guaranteed to peak earlier than usual. Make way to the capital over the next few weekends to enjoy the pink flowers in their prime. Check the festival’s events calendar for the lineup of performances, parades, and activities. www.nationalcherryblossomfestival.org

Where to Stay: The Park Hyatt Washington is offering a "Spring Cherry Blossom" package through April 29. It includes an overnight stay in a Park Deluxe room with a complimentary upgrade to a Premier Park Deluxe room, a pot of cherry-blossom tea from the hotel’s vintage collection, a backpack for kids filled with sightseeing goodies, and continental breakfast for two in the lounge. Rates start from $329/night. www.parkwashington.hyatt.com

New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

New Orleans; April 27–May 6

This year’s official lineup includes Bruce Springsteen, Eddie Vedder, My Morning Jacket, Bon Iver, Florence + the Machine, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Foo Fighters, The Beach Boys, Cee Lo Green, and so many more. Unofficially, New Orleans' tried-and-true music venues also host some pretty amazing acts in tandem with the festival (plus, a few surprise showings from big-name musicians). www.nojazzfest.com

Where to Stay: Finding a room during festival time only gets harder the longer you wait. Canal Street’s venerable Ritz-Carlton still has availability and is offering a special "Bicentennial" package commemorating the statehood of Louisiana and the War of 1812. The deal includes Club Level accommodations, complimentary food and beverage offerings throughout the day (breakfast, snacks, hors d’oevres, drinks), the use of the Club Level concierge, overnight valet parking, and a free amenity. Rates go for $639/night. www.ritzcarlton.com

Fiesta Old Town Cinco de Mayo

San Diego; May 4–6

One of the best places to celebrate Cinco de Mayo (north of the border) is positively San Diego. Fiesta Old Town is a three-day street fair with exhibitions, performances, carnivals, and a party-hearty atmosphere. www.oldtownsandiegoguide.com

Where to Stay: Hyatt’s sexy Andaz San Diego, located in downtown’s Gaslamp Quarter, has a "Flights of Fancy" package (available throughout the year), which gets you a $50 credit to Ivy Wine Bar on top of accommodations. Rates for Cinco de Mayo weekend start from $184/night. sandiego.andaz.hyatt.com
