Solo cruise travelers, take heed: Your ship has finally come in. For deal-savvy travelers who are looking to fly solo on their next cruise vacation, turn to single traveler-specialized travel agency Premier River Cruises. They’re knocking out that dreaded single supplement fee on select 7- to 14-night European river sailings and effectively slashing rates by up to 42 percent. The savings—which must be booked by February 20, when the promotion expires—are valid aboard the intimate yet spacious high-end ships of Avalon Waterways and Uniworld.

Rates start at $2,049/person (down from the standard solo supplement-inclusive rates of $3,585) on a 7-night Paris & Normandy river cruise. Or, try a 7-night Burgundy & Provence sailing from $2,399 (down from $3,599), a 7-night Danube River voyage from $2,199 (instead of $3,299), or a 9-night Paris to Nuremberg cruise from $2,699 (slashed from $4,049). (Select sailing dates are available throughout 2012.)

The discounted cruise fares include all standard cruise accommodations and meals, plus extras like comped shore excursions in each port, wine and beer with dinner, a Captain’s welcome and farewell party, and onboard Internet and Wi-Fi.
