Avoid long lines at Chicago's Shedd Aquarium

Lines for the Shedd often extend all the way down the neoclassical steps. Buy a ticket in advance to avoid the interminable wait, or spring for a CityPass. See Fodor's Shedd Aquarium Review for more tips.

Getting a membership almost pays for itself with a small group. You can skip the lines and go straight to membership. The lines in the off season are not that bad. 15-30 minutes.
