Tote along a small washing "machine"

"Small travel bags/suitcases are the best way to travel. Bring a portable "washing machine" for smaller items. What's this? A very large zip-lock bag, filled with water, some liquid detergent and a few items of clothing. Shake around, and voila! Clean clothes!" --- advice posted by Fodor's member lollylo25
