Singapore Airlines Takes the Sex Out of Flying
It's a little ironic. The world's largest commercial aircraft was built with absolute luxury in mind, but the first airline to buy the Airbus A380, Singapore Airlines, is already setting limits on comfort levels.
The airline announced earlier this week that it will prohibit sexual relations between passengers who book passage in the plane's spacious, first-class double-bed cabins.
Singapore Airlines spokesperson Stephen Forshaw told the Times of London, "If couples used our double beds to engage in inappropriate activity, we would politely ask them to desist."
The Bangkok Post notes that the private cabins aboard the A380 are screened off from other passengers only by "sliding doors and roller blinds." The 12 double-bed cabins, the paper reports, are not sound-proofed.
