Greater San Diego gets another championship golf course...

Golf is one of the most popular pastimes in Southern California, and locals go for the sport with great gusto. That explains for the abundance of great golf courses in the southern half of the Golden State. New to the list of great greens here is the Crossings at Carlsbad, a 6,850-yard championship, 18-hole municipal golf course that opened recently in Carlsbad, 30 minutes from downtown San Diego. Designed by golf course architect Greg Nash, the golf course encompasses a grand clubhouse, pro shop, banquet center, and 310-yard, night-lit driving range.
