Washington, D.C. is a city of monuments---they're everywhere. In the middle of traffic circles, on tiny slivers of park, and at street corners and intersections, statues, plaques, and simple blocks of marble honor those who helped shape the nation. Here are a few worth seeking out.

  1. Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial
  2. Jefferson Memorial
  3. Lincoln Memorial
  4. Vietnam Veterans Memorial
  5. Washington Monument
