Whoever said getting there is half the fun never suffered a nine-hour layover. Grazing over a leisurely lunch, flipping through magazines, and organizing your carry-on can only take but so long. The idea of sitting in an airport waiting to sit some more on a plane motivates many to avoid long layovers at any cost.
