This antique market has vintage lovers from around the world saying “Oui!”
L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is a vintage lover’s dream come true. This idyllic village in the picturesque Provence region of France not only boasts a remarkably high concentration of brick-and-mortar vintage shops and a weekly flea market, it plays host to the biggest open air antique fair in all of Europe. This event, which draws vendors and shoppers from all over the world, is held twice a year—on Easter and in August. The market includes exhibitors selling everything from industrial furniture to antique commodes and even includes a space for contemporary artists.
Though this flea market isn’t exactly for thrifters—the sellers bring tend to bring their best items—the shear volume of exhibitors and wares makes it so a savvy hunter can find a good deal.
This year the L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue Antique will be held August 11-15.
