Whip it good.

Hold on to your headband because Six Flags Fiesta Texas has announced the opening of its Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster next spring in San Antonio. Park officials say the ride will thrill like no other before due to its single-rail IBox track coaster—a monorail of sorts.

“I expect it to be crazy smooth,” says Larry Chickola, Six Flags VP and chief corporate engineer. “And crazy fun. There will be extremely quick twists and turns–quicker and smoother than regular coasters.”

The coaster will climb 113 feet and drop 100 feet straight down at 90 degrees and a speed of 52 mph, so riders will be glad for the smooth engineering. Passengers will ride single-file and experience a free-floating sensation known as airtime. Jeffrey Siebert, president of Six Flags Fiesta Texas, says, “It will feel like you’re riding Wonder Woman’s whip.” The coaster will feature comic book references including a crashed airplane, Greco-Roman architecture, and of course, her lasso of truth.
