You no longer need to be a musher (or a dog!) to take part in the iconic Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. Thanks to the Iditarider Auction fans of “The Last Great Race” can now bid on a chance to ride on the sled of the musher of their choice over for the 11-mile journey from the race’s ceremonial start in Anchorage to its completion at a nearby airstrip.
With over 76 entrants competing in the race there are plenty of opportunities for bidders to win the chance for the ride-along of a lifetime.
Bidding will remain open until Jan. 20, 2017 with bids beginning at $750 per seat.
