Planning a cruise for a large group of friends or family members? Work with your travel agent or directly with the cruise line's group sales department for a perk—if you book at least 16 passengers in 8 cabins (third and fourth passengers in the same cabin don't count), you should be able to score a substantial discount or even a free cabin. Other discounts, such as shipboard credit or free parties, are also sometimes given.
