Last year we made our awesome Fodor's City Guide apps free. We started with New York City, Paris, London, Rome, Barcelona, and San Francisco just to whet your palate. But we certainly didn't stop there. Since then we've launched Austin, Las Vegas, Miami, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and Seattle for your traveling pleasure.

These city guides offer Fodor's travel expertise and top recommendations, from sights and shops to restaurants and hotels. And we've developed really useful interactive maps that work offline so you can plot and plan even from the subway or on your flight. Within the app, you can make all manner of bookings at hotels, restaurants, and entertainment via Expedia, OpenTable, and TicketsNow, respectively. What's more, you can get personal with these apps, saving bookmarks and comments about places you loved or ones you definitely don't want to miss. And if you really want to narrow down your options to the cream of the crop, you can select only Fodor's Choice for our shortlist of must-have experiences and can't-miss places.

And there is more where these came from! Over the next couple of months, you can expect to find San Diego, Chicago, Boston, Amsterdam, Montreal, Honolulu, Charleston, and Savannah city guides, as well.

Don't see the city you're hankering for? Let us know which destinations you want to see, by sending an email tosupportrhd@randomhouse.com. We're good listeners—Chicago, Amsterdam, and Boston were all added by traveler requests!

I would love to use the New Orleans guide but the app always crashes just before the download completes. iPod3 IOS5
