Except for the zip code and dead-giveaway landmarks like the Seattle Public Library, it's hard to believe this newly revamped hotel is in the heart of downtown. The down-to-earth feel is carried throughout every inch of the property, from the sophisticated yet whimsical aesthetic in the lobby and guestrooms, to surprising services like the "didn't have room to pack" yoga bag that comes complete with mat and exercise bands. The scene at adjacent bar and restaurant, Sazerac, is a reminder of the city setting, though: it's a hot spot for locals and artsy types during the lively gourmet happy hour. Local musicians often perform in the airy lobby, too.
