Seabourn Cruise Line

Food

Exceptional cuisine created by celebrity chef Charlie Palmer is prepared à la minute and served in open-seating dining rooms. Upscale menu offerings include foie gras, quail, fresh seafood, and jasmine crème brûlée. Dishes low in cholesterol, salt, and fat, as well as vegetarian selections, are prepared with the same attention to detail and artful presentation. Wines are chosen to complement each day's luncheon and dinner menus, and caviar is always available. A background of classical music sets the tone for afternoon tea. The weekly Gala Tea features crèpes Suzette.

A casual dinner alternative is "Tastings @ 2," serving innovative cuisine in multiple courses nightly in the Veranda Café, where outdoor tables enhance the romantic atmosphere. Evening attire in the Veranda Café is specified as casual or elegant casual—when men are asked to wear a jacket but no tie. A second, and even more laid back, dinner alternative is offered on select occasions in the open-air Sky Bar, where grilled seafood and steaks are served. "Sky Grill" dinners are scheduled on a couple of nights during each cruise, weather permitting. Both Tastings @ 2 and Sky Grill require reservations, but happily there is no additional charge for either.

Room service is always available. Dinner can even be served course by course in your suite during restaurant hours.
