As was the norm when these ships were built, dining selections on board are pretty basic. The double-deck-high formal dining room serves evening meals in two assigned evening seatings or open-seating My Timing Dining; breakfast and lunch in the dining room are always open seating. Windjammer, the casual Lido buffet, serves three meals a day, including a laid-back dinner. Evening meals in the formal dining room and buffet are often regionally themed and feature menus that focus on Italian, French, and American dishes. Room service is available 24 hours a day; however, there is a delivery charge after midnight. A poolside grill serves burgers and snacks in the solarium. A coffee bar offers specialty coffees and pastries for an additional fee. Sadly, there are no specialty restaurants on these ships; however, Splendour of the Seas will receive two during a major refurbishment in 2011. No word is available wheter the other Vision-class ships will also be upgraded.
