About This Line
On Louis Cruise sailings, onboard chefs provide a variety of freshly prepared meals with healthier Mediterranean, Italian, and Continental flavors and ingredients, but don't expect haute cuisine. More than two-dozen different types of local breads, rolls, and pastries garnish the menus. All sauces, dressings, soups, terrines, jams, and desserts are made in the ship’s galley. Salads, olives, local cheeses, moussaka casseroles, pastas, and fresh fruit show up on menus. Local fresh seafood and grilled meat specials appear daily. Expect main dining rooms to be noisy, with tables sandwiched together. Casual bistro-style dining and self-service food areas offer fast food and pizza. Bars and lounges are open throughout the day and night for coffee, teas, sodas, and alcoholic beverages at additional cost. A small selection of local wines is also available for an additional cost.
