Overview

Richard With, the namesake of this ship, was the founder of the Coastal fleet, which had as its original mission to provide regular communications and transit between the remote villages of Norway's west coast. As on all Hurtigruten ships, the art is by local artists, in this case by Eva, Karl Erik, and Jan Harr. This is one of six contemporary ships Hurtigruten brought online between 1993 and 1997. Eight Junior Suites and Jacuzzis and an Internet caf were added during a renovation in 2006.
