Costa Cruises: Costa Classica

Costa Classica, Costa Romantica review covers: Costa Classica, Costa Romantica

What Works & What Doesn't

Upgrades and renovations over the years haven't spoiled the classic overall feel of these two traditional ships. Originally designed to appeal to the tastes of Europeans, they also incorporate the comforts Americans expect.

Carefully check the deck plan before booking. Plenty of cabins sleep three and four, but they can be tight for families traveling together. Cabins with connecting doors are preferable, but scarce.

Following European preference, dinner seatings are later than is customary in North America, and coffee isn't routinely offered after meals.
