The ship's horn plays "When You Wish Upon a Star" at sailaway and nearly everyone admits to getting goose bumps.

Reminiscent of classic ocean liners, Disney vessels have two funnels (the forward one is nonfunctional) and high-tech interiors behind their art deco and art nouveau styling. Whimsical design accents cleverly incorporate the images of Mickey Mouse and his friends without overpowering the warm and elegant decor. Artwork showcases the creativity of Disney artists and animators. The atmosphere is never stuffy.

Aesthetically pleasing ship design can result in some quirky features. Four Navigator Verandah cabins are semi-obstructed by slanting superstructure (6134, 6634, 7120, 7620); the rest have nautically furnished verandas with views through large portholes cut into the steel.
