Reflections of the Taj
"While waiting for the sun to set I couldn't believe my luck when noticed a man with a camel nearby. I asked my guide if he could ask if I could include the camel in my photo. Even though my guide wanted to haggle it was well worth the $10."Photo by mcgregorjn

Early morning along the Ganges
"Seeing all the activity along the Ganges was exactly what we came to India to see. My friend and I were in a boat three young boys had borrowed to take us out for an early morning ride. Varanasi left us with many colorful memories, from the overnight 2nd class train to get there, to our hotel along the river (just outside the frame of this picture), and unfurling of countless pashmina and silk shawls in Babu's (the uncle of one of the boys in the boat) living room. View from a Kerala house boat
"This photo was taken from our house boat in Kerala, India. While we were on vacation, we had a great glimpse into the daily routines of locals who live on the backwaters. These kids were getting on their equivalent of a school bus: a boat that would take them home from school."Photo by rfh

Bollywood!
"I was in a small neighborhood visiting some residents. On our way back to the car, we walked through an open air market. The beautiful colors grabbed me and I thought the subject represented modern India."Photo by Mary_BethCutshall

Holy Cow
"Navigating the narrow streets of Jaisalmer, this scene was emblematic of all of the narrow streets in India. Holy cows, people and motorbikes with all the various signs and advertisements that just add to the confusion!!!"Photo by Joan Saba

Goan Sunbathers
"These were four of about 12 cows strolling along the beaches in Goa. They seemed to be doing what the rest of us were: taking in the scenery and sunbathing in the Indian heat."Photo by rfh

On Guard
"While touring the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, I spotted this window above the entrance to the Palace. The turbined guard on duty in the entry plaza saw me eye the window and indicated he would pose for a photograph. He quickly disappeared up a staircase to emerge, obviously very pleased with himself. He returned to my side and we both delighted with the result on displayed on the camera's LCD screen. Two heads are more creative than one."Photo by cmittman
