My girlfriend & I had just finished a week of vacation & packed up a cooler to enjoy our last evening. As we sat down, we witnessed a wedding end, tide rolling in among the chairs on the beach, bicycles passing to finish their rides & folks ending their day on the most beautiful natural beach...the moon was rising behind us as we watched the sun set. It was a perfect end to a wonderful vacation.

For the first part of our week on the island, evening thunderstorms to the west had hidden sunsets. This evening gave golden tones to the water, and delicate shadings of orange to blue across the sky.

Maddie, almost 2, enjoys walking in the tidal pools looking for baby crabs and fish. The beach is so wide, especially at low tide, and provides a big playground for the young ones.

Our extended family loves getting together & we try to vacation as a group every couple of years. Hilton Head has been one of our favorite destinations. We thoroughly enjoy sharing any teachable moment with grandchildren. Here we are pointing out (maybe too many instructors?)a beautiful oceanic bit of nature with our youngest.
