Congratulations to the winners of our Australia photo contest!
Our grand prize winner, Fodor's member David Menkes, will be heading back to Australia sometime in 2010, courtesy of Tourism Australia and Swain Tours. His trip for two includes round-trip airfare, hotel accomodations, and a wildlife and wine group tour in and around Melbourne and Adelaide. Thank you to everyone who entered; your photos prove that Australia has something to offer everyone.

The Twelve Apostles, The Great Ocean Road

Teasing Desperation in Tasmania
"Driving through the winding roads of Tasmania on a dry summer day in 2009, we saw heavy clouds glaring down on the dry ground. The trees and grass yearned for moisture as the drought pressed on, yet the rain-filled clouds refuse to give in. Darkness reigned mid-day, omitting a gloomy, apocalyptic aura. This ground may have seen its last raindrop for many months."Photo by thejadude
