Yosemite lodging - Housekeeping Cabin thoughts?
Hi, we are going to Yosemite from LA for 2-3 nights (next week)
We are used to camping so the Housekeeping Cabins sound decent (although I'd rather stay at the lodge (sold out))
Any thoughts or experiences you'd like to share about this before I book it?
Thanks

I like Housekeeping Camp better than Curry Village because with Housekeeping Camp, you have a little more space, you can sit outside at the picnic table, you have a fire pit, you can cook if you want. Also, the location of Housekeeping Camp on the river is very nice. The tent cabins themselves are beyond basic, but they do the job. You basically bring everything with you that you would for camping except the tent - or I think you can rent camp kits. Try to get a cabin close to the river rather than on the inside loop of the camp - those units have a bit more space around them.

Thanks november_moon. When I booked, they only had "Non-River" sites left. From what I gather, you show up and claim a site. I'm arriving on Monday midday, so keeping fingers crossed there's something good available. And I will make like Indiana Jones and "choose wisely"
