Yes it's March, but let's talk Christmas destinations!
Just found out my husband and I will both have the week after Christmas off. This NEVER happens. So I figure we need to make the most of it.
Where would you go in the US the week after Christmas? Where are there lots of fun displays and events? We have two boys that will be 4 and 6. We live in NH so I'd like something outside of New England (I think).
Thanks.

No question! I would go to the Florida Keys! Things are booming there, and I'm not talking Key West! Two new resort hotels being built in Marathon and a new Aquarium Encounter soon to open. Good luck! With kids that age, I would think that any place with a warm enclosed pool would be fun. We used to take our kids for hotel weekends in the winter. Many hotels cater to this type of family fun.

Most places will be quite expensive that week. Do you want someplace warm? If so, the suggestions of Florida or the Carribbean are good ones (do the kids have passports? Will be needed for non-US locations). Kids might like Disney and I believe they have nice Christmas decorations.
Are you skiers? If so there's Utah or lots of other places. Or, if you're looking for a city destination, there's no place like NYC. San Fransisco is fun and has lots for kids too. San Diego might be a good combo of both warm weather and city destination. Lots of stuff for kids there too (theme parks, zoo). Have fun wherever you choose!

We just did Disney, so need to stay away for a while.
Hawaii is more than I want to tackle. We've only got 5-6 days.
San Francisco and the Keys are top choices right now. Hershey Park is a back in case the inlaws pressure us in to spending time with them.

It is fun to think about traveling next winter already. Thanks for starting this thread. Any cruise around Christmas should be fun. I think a Disney cruise is in our future for sure. Wish they were a bit less costly, but our little GD would love it.
