Yellowstone in 1 day in 10.5 hrs on Bus/van Tour

Do you recommend the 10.5-hour bus/van tour at Yellowstone in 1 day? Pros? Cons? We travel with 4 kids, ages 11-3. Which tour do you recommend? from Old Faithful or from Gardiner and Mammoth. Thanks

What happens when one of the kids goes to the bathroom when the bus is ready to leave? Rent a minivan and set your own pace and if you want to stay at a place a little longer you set the pace.
Pack a styrofoam cooler with drinks and sandwiches.

Tours have pros and cons. But my goodness . . . I'd never ever take a bus tour w/ really young children.

I like tours enough, but not 10.5 hour long ones with such young children. It would be far cheaper to drive yourselves around the park, even with a minivan rental, if needed. Yellowstone is in a "figure 8" loop, basically; you could, if needed, hit many of the major scenic spots in a full day (I used to do it with guests).

That trip would be hell with little kids - both for the kids and the other passengers. Agree to rent your own vehicle (or drive the one you come in).
