WYNN or VDARA ??

We're a couple of middleaged LV "first-timers", and are wondering if anyone has any advice re which of these 2 hotels might be preferable. Want to get the LV "feel" but not really into casinos and gambling and DEFINITELY not looking for a young hip crowd! Any advice ?

These are two completely different beasts!

The Vdara is a condo complex with no casino and only one restaurant, whereas Wynn is a full-blown deluxe hotel with a Casino, many restaurants.

Of the options you bring, Wynn has the Vegas feel and not much of a hip crowd (although they may invite themselves to XS, the Hotel's dance club.

Vdara will not have the hip crowd but you may very well feel like your in an appartment building in LV. So not much of Vegas feel.

Of the two, I'd definitely go with Wynn.

Perhaps you're confusing Vdara and Aria? Aria is the hotel at City Center. We stayed there a few months ago. Very nice (and high tech).

why go to Vegas if you 'don't like casinos or gambling' I just don't get it!!! IMHO neither Wynn or Vdara have any atmosphere. If you wanted the 'Vegas feel' you should have gone 15 years ago.
