Want to get to Wolf Trap from 2800 S Potomac Ave for a show. Im a little uncertain how to take the bus directly. I know there is a WT Express but it only runs to 1100.

If the show goes past 1100, are there cabs at Wolf Trap?

IYO, other than renting a car, whats the best way to get back after the show?

I think you need to just assume that the show will be over by 11. The bus to the Metro is probably the best bet.

YOu will take the subway to the East Falls Church Metro (you in Crystal City, so you will take the Blue line to the Orange line (switching in Roslyn). You pick up the bus at East Falls Church

Once I went to a concert there that went past 1100. They held the train for us!

I agree with Mike T that you should assume the show will be over before 11pm.

It's pretty unusual for concerts to extend past 11 and people have complained for years about the curfew (tho I don't think Wolf Trap calls it that). WT is adjacent to residential neighborhoods so that might be a factor. If you look at their calendar of events it looks iike they'll adjust the start time if a show is scheduled to go longer than 3 hours.

I split some season tickets with friends last year and each time the opening act was on by 8, the headliner on by 9 to 9:15 and off NLT 10:45.

Got the heads up from people here to take the metro and the bus. Very easy. Drove once and it was fine too but I wouldn't rent a car to do it.
