Wine Country: Vintage or Villagio Inn?
Hi everyone,
We are looking at a return visit to Wine Country this summer and are looking at a three night stay at either the Vintage Inn or the Villagio Inn. I know they are sister properties and they are the exact same price point.
Any thoughts if there is a preferred choice between the two based on some recent stays or information? Vintage Inn seems to do a bit better on Trip Advisor, but it's still hard to see the differences. At either property, we would select an interior room. We've narrowed it down to these two based on price point..and a pool which will be nice in July! They both also seem quite accessible walking wise to the restaurants in town.
Would appreciate any thoughts out there
thanks as always,
CC

Both properties are very similar. Villagio may have the nicer pool situation depending on what your tastes are. In either place, the upstairs rooms are the nicest since they have the vaulted ceilings and the more private balconies.

Villagio is very nice, we just stayed this past Sat. night at Bardessono and loved this place! It is fairly new, very contemporary in design with a rooftop pool and jacuzzi, fantastic restaurant, breakfast is included with your room, complimentary bikes were provided, we loved riding around Yountville and out to the vineyards. All of the rooms have spa tubs, very spacious, gorgeous bathrooms, fireplaces, etc. Check out their website. We enjoyed dinner Bottega where I suggest you plan a meal, lunch at Auberge du Soleil out on the terrace was great and our dinner at Martini House in St. Helena was perfect. Let me know if you any speciic questions about either Bardessono or Villagio. ***kim***

Thanks all...we just booked the Villagio and are looking forward to it.
Bottega is definitely on my list kim....we will probably stick to Yountville for dinners while we are there..any other Yountville restaurant suggestions kim? Bouchon is on our list..which leaves room for one more...
cheers,
CC

You could try Redd, Ad Hoc, or Hurley's. All three are solid choices. Or, if you want to splurge, go over to L'Etoile at Domaine Chandon. Both Redd and L'Etoile are one star Michelin restaurants as is Bouchon.

A new small hotel and spa just opened last month in Yountville - Luca. Looks very Tuscan and has a small restaurant. We only ate lunch at the small restaurant. It was delicious and very well prepared.
