We recently stayed in the Wilmington area and saw quite a bit of literature talking about their riverfront outlet shops. What a disapointment. The shops are in a very pretty setting but are nearly deserted with only 4-5 being open...and one of those has going out of business signs posted. A river taxi--something our young son would surely have enjoyed--wasn't running at all the day we were there, despite printed schedules saying it should be and assurances from the outlet staff that it was still in operation. A shame since the shops look almost new and are nicely landscaped with old cranes and signs telling about the area's shipbuilding past.
Wilmington riverfront outlet shops all but closed

Wilmington----Delaware???
which ones are still open?
Yes, John, Wilmington, Delaware.
It's really too bad this area didn't do well. Though I don't know its name, a large arts venue was built there, too, and started off with promising exhibitions such as Nicholas and Alexander and Splendors of the Meiji, however, it is my understanding this venue no longer hosts such acclaimed shows.
Thanks for the update.
LL bean was the big draw and that closed. The stores were never all open. The location is great and tax free what more could you want?
I think the only ones left are:
Blair Factory Store
Coldwater Creek Incredible Outlet
Factory Brand Shoes
L'eggs/Hanes/Bali/Playtex Factory Outlet
Nautica Factory Outlet
Totes/Isotoner/Sunglass World
VF Outlet
