What is your travel route? If you are going I8, the Natural Bridge Safari park is a fun stop.

We are looking for fun kid things to and from texas and are very flexible on routes and want to find things for small breaks during drive and destinations in various towns
Our preliminary travel is to williamsburg
New orleans
Atlanta
Greensville sc to cut over to coastal carolina
Return
West virginia
Kentucky/tennesee area
Memphis
But we have no set plans other than visiting friends in VA and greenville SC

Try to stop overnight in Greenville. Its downtown is one of the great urban success stories with lots of restaurants of all types and prices, fabulous minor league baseball, and a park along the Reedy River with all kinds of good stuff for kids. Shopping from boutiques to penny candy. Rush Wilson, possibly the preppiest men's store in the US outside New England.

If any of your kids like horses, this is the place to go. Do NOT go the third weekend in July...there's a huge convention there and it's a mob scene!

Kids? Or just adults? Budget? Do you want a Colonial dining experience or a gourmet one?
You can start by looking at the Colonial Williamsburg web site:
www.colonialwilliamsburg.com
You should make reservations for their dining events ASAP.
Kingsmill has activities for families and shuttles to CW and Christmastown at Busch Gardens.
