My husband and two children (20 and 23 year olds) will be in Boise for a wedding in July. Is there any place near there to go white water rafting. Also does anyone have any other suggestions for activites.

I spent a week with Hughes on Middle Fork of the Salmon in July. Great trip and good weather but it was pretty hot then and the river is low then which is safer but less scenic.
Go to www.google.com and search for Idaho White Water Rafting........you will find all kinds of places. The MF Salmon is 3/4 hour drive from Boise though. There is probably some shorter trips around Sun Valley. Good luck.

Salmon and the Snake might be a little low in July--depends on the spring. But seems like a good thing to google...
We went rafting with Cascade Raft...www.cascaderaft.com summer of 2004, They are located north of Boise about an hour, I think. Our kids were younger (13 & 10) but we had a really great time on the Payette River, which has class 3 and 4 rapids. They offer other trips as well. Our guide was excellent and it was just a wild, fun time. I don't know if you folks are baseball fans, but Boise probably has a minor league team. Good clean fun, at reasonable prices. Good luck.
