Which Starwood hotel in NYC to choose from? You pick.
Hi
First of all I asked this question earlier and forgot (i know stupid) to pick my search topic. Anyways, the choices for hotel are
W-Times Square
The Sheraton Hotel and Towers \
W-New York (on think on Lexington)
Help, going with friends and using my points. We are going to do all the normal Christmas touristy things but which location is best, help!
Thanks so much!!!
Finally a trip without the kids.

Thanks, I have read on tripadvisor.com that the W hotels are not that great according to ratings. Does it matter? I know probably a lot of rooms are small and how often are you in them anyways.

I'm with gyppielou, the W Union Square but you didn't offer that as an option. Under no circumstances should you pick W New York on Lexington. The rooms are tiny and it's awful. The W Times Square could be fine. The Sheraton is a huge convention sort of hotel. I think if you can get on the club level that might be ok. The location is certainly good. There are also 2 W's on east 39th off Lexington (but ON 39th) These were older hotels that W bought and renovated. I think these could also be ok. Check on tripadvisor. They're called the W Tuscany and can't remember the other one.
Finally, the Sheraton Russell is IMO a small gem on Park Ave. Consider that one.

The Sheraton Russell is just a few blocks away from Grand Central Station where there's easy subway to everywhere. It's very close to the other W's I mentioned on 39th st. Where are your friends staying?

The Westin Times Square wasn't one of your choices, but I just stayed there last week for 5 nights and it was great. The rooms were a decent size and the staff was very helpful. We walked from there to Rockefeller Center and it wasn't far at all.

We have stayed at all of these hotels, and have found the W Union Square to be the best. Did not like W Times Square at all. Sheraton Russell was also nice and is not as far from midtown - but downtown is much more interesting!! If you like Italian food - Malatesta (corner of Christopher and Washington St.) Enjoy!

How many people in your room? I've stayed at all of them and it makes a difference at these hotels.
Will you be springinf for extra points to get the club level adn hence the free breakfast and pre-dinner appetizers? Also makes a difference.
