Which Orlando water park for older teens?

I can't decide which water park my teens would like best. They range from 14 to almost 19 and the more intense the better! Can anyone make a good suggestion? Thanks.

When are you planning on going? Seaworld is opening a new park called Aquatica in March or April, and it sounds really cool. Check it out.

Wet-N-Wild was the first, and is still the best. There are lots of rides and activities for kids of all ages.

Are you trying to decide between that and the Disney water parks? If so, Typhoon Lagoon is probably the better choice for kids that age -- they just added several new rides that cater to that age group.

Blizzard Beach is my favorite. It has the highest slide in the world. You have to ride a ski lift to get to it. The wave pool is King at Typhoon Lagoon. The best waterpark is Schlitterbahn in Texas. I would rank #2 and #3 the Disney waterparks. Disney is very clean and hard to beat. I will admit that Wet N Wild is a good one also. Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are not your typical waterparks. Its just like the log ride at Disney isn't the same as other log rides. Disney waterparks are themed, very clean, and done right. They can be crowded, but often they are far less crowded than the rest of Disney.

While you certainly can get soaked at Islands of Adventure, it's a theme park rather than a water park.

Friends with teens tell me Wet 'n Wild is the favorite.

Blizzard Beach is fantastic with smaller kids. Typhoon Lagoon is better with older kids.

Wow! Sounds like we should go to them all!
They all sound good to me!

I think I have it narrowed down to Wet and Wild and Typhoon Lagoon now, but I'll check out Aquatica too just for the heck of it. I'm sure if I ask the kids they will be like like all of us on Fodors...each will choose something different!!!

We are going in July by the way...yes, I know hot, humid, etc. I'm sure the water park will be the perfect day trip.

Thanks for all the replies.

I would agree with Typhoon Lagoon. Blizzard Beach would be great too.
