Hi!

I live right near the Mall of America and the BEST Embassy Suites to stay at is the Embassy Suites Minneapolis Airport South, which is located at:

7901 34th Avenue South
Bloomington, MN 55425

I know there is another Embassy Suites a little ways down the road, although it is NOT nice at all. I have been inside both, and have stayed at the Embassy Suites Minneapolis South (above address) numerous times and have found it to be great! The hotel is located about a mile away from the Mall of America and if you don't want to drive they offer a free shuttle. In addition, they have a spectacular ten story atrium, as well as an indoor pool and whirlpool which are surrounded by numerous palms and plants.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Mall of America is nice, however I think Embassy Suites would be nicer overall. I have been inside the Homewood Suites also and they have great rooms, too however the hotel is just not as fancy as the Embassy Suites is when you consider everything (atrium, pool, breakfast...). The Marriott Minneapolis Airport also is a good hotel, however I have heard from numerous people that the hallways to find the rooms are very long. The Marriott has a nice lobby as well as pool, which is situated under a huge glass dome. Hilton Minneapolis Airport is located next to Embassy Suites and is more of a business type hotel. They have an indoor pool in a atrium type area with two whirlpools, and a waterfall running down the side of one wall. In addition, they have good sized rooms some of which have nice views on the upper levels. The Holiday Inn Select is located right near the Hilton and Embassy Suites and is a nice hotel, to consider as well. They have a medium sized lobby, and a pool, which I think has some rooms overlooking it.

If you want to stay a ways away from the Mall of America you might want to think about the Marriott Minneapolis Southwest (Minnetonka area). The hotel is a drive away although it is in a business park, and has good sized rooms, too. The Marriott also offers an indoor pool and whirlpool, which are good sized also in my opinion.

Regarding the Mall of America, it is a spectacular place to see. I have been there numerous times being I live only a few miles away, and they have many restaurants and shops to see. Rainforst Cafe is a popular restaurant as is California Cafem there are many others to consider that are good, too.
