Which companies do Sunday returns for RV hires?

Hi there,

We are a family of four heading to explore California in dec/Jan for 3 and a half weeks, wanting to pickup an RV on 9 Dec in Los Angeles and depart on Sunday 3rd January.

We are having real difficulty finding a company which takes vehicle returns on a Sunday…, our travel agent can't find a company either who does this (whilst the likes of COMPASS RVs say on their website they do Sundays apparently this is incorrect)

We will be staying in Palm Springs on Sat 2 Jan for a friends wedding and then driving to the airport on Sun 3rd Jan to fly home to NZ.

Any recommendations or suggestions greatly appreciated!

Your best option may be to return the RV on Friday then, and rent a car for the last 2 days.

Cruise america has a rental location in Riverside CA, which is about 1hr from Pal Springs. Can you return there on Friday morning?

Thanks J62 - good to know about the Riverside depot. Had considered swapping to a car, as you have suggested, but were hoping to keep in r
v for full duration…. so still keen to hear if anyone has any further ideas!

See the posts on your other thread -- an RV is not a good choice for your planned itinerary. Not good at all.

Have you considered a minivan instead? They may be more widely available.
