I travel a lot - I've visited more than 20 Us airports recently, but what is there to do at any of them?
Which airports have good facilities when you're bored?

Flew through Pittsburg recently. There is a little shopping mall there. Good way to kill time between flights.
Perhaps the following website will prove useful:

We fly into and out of Mpls. quite often and love the Mpls./St. Paul Airport. They have shops, restaurants, coffee places and the like and we enjoy spending some time there. I have also used the nail salon there and have bought several things at the shops in the airport.
You can have people paged. Like ask to have "Brad Pitt" paged, or "Jennifer Aniston." Then see people's reactions when their names get called. I think that some of the best entertainment in airports can be provided by people-watching. Trying to guess where people are from, surmising their life stories, etc. is always fun! Other than that, O'Hare's United terminal has that cool underground walway with the futuristic lights, and waiting areas often have those CNN-playing TVs.
How about a book?
If the poster of this thread has been to "20 airports recently" then there is little reason to ask "what is there to do at any of them?" The answer, of course, is "wait for your flight"! As the 20 airports certainly demonstrate, they are not meant to be destinations in themselves. Grin and bear it.
A note on the Pittsburgh Airport: the nice little shopping mall there has rigid controls on the prices. Merchants are not allowed to charge more than they would at a similar shopping center in the area. This affects the restaurants also. Makes it more fun to shop knowing that you are not paying extra for being a captive audience.
I recall seeing a putting green at the West Palm Beach Florida airport.
I think most airports can be facinating places - but what about the worst airports? My vote would go to Miami without any hesitation. What a dump.
Worst.....
Detroit Metro without a doubt---it is a civic disgrace.!!!
