I am overwelmed by the postings. I deceided Alaska will be my next vacation. Anybody know where I can find Oaktown"s trip report 1 and 2.?
I have ordered the Milepost and a map of Alaska. We plan on flying to Anc. and rent a car for 2 weeks. Mostly do the Kenai Penn. area. We might do the Denali Park but the time we go might be last week of Aug. and 1st week of Sept.
I am kinda shocked with the prices that I have seen. I will be checking out mom and pop motels.
Love this message board.I spend hours a day here reading all your trip experiences.

Just enter oaktown in the search box at the top of the page, those two posts are among the first 5 that come up.

Oaktown's report was such a pleasure to read, and we've clipped it for our own future trip. Congrats, OT, what you report adds immeasurably to the value of this site.

Ok, I'm with ronpal...I wanted to look at Oaktown's report as well but when I type Oaktown in the search, I did not get the reports. Any chance they got deleted?

Oops...I found them Ronpal. You search for Oaktown but make sure you don't have the Topic set to Alaska. Once I cleared the topic and typed Oaktown in Find, the messages came up.

Go figure...

I think the reason that happens, one2travel is that if the original poster didn't click Alaska as the subject of the original post, it will never come up under that category when someone searches it later. I have learned that sometimes when I can't find a post I know is there hiding somewhere, I simply don't click a state (or country when on the Europe board) and it appears.

Yes!! I found them. I found a few of her posts and clicked on her name(auther) they are highlighted in red.
Wow, I am up to day 20. It is so personally written.
