Where would you go for...

a combo seventh wedding anniversary/birthday trip in the U.S.? Been toying with going to Europe, but thinking of all the fabulous places right here at home and wondering where to go. Trip would be 8-10 days in either January or May, or possibly somewhere in between. Just looking for some ideas...

Yeesh, that's a bit of a spread.

You like skiing/fallingonarseinsnow and that type of vacay? Go to Colorado. If you suck, go to Aspen for Buttermilk (lots of green trails); if you're good, go to Jackson Hole, Wyoming; if you're interested in how far the dollar has crapped out, go to Whistler in Canada.

If you want skiing and cultural stuff, go to New Mexico. If you want to flop on beach, wait until May and go to Belize.

@emalloy - good list. hadn't heard of the delmarva peninsula.

@bigruss - LOL Belize is a thought. Hmm

@travelbuff - that's my style, but unfortunately not my budget.

Delmarva is that little piece of land that is on the coast of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia, north of the bay bridge, think of Chincoteagur.
