Where was I? An Alsace restaurant in the Texas Hill Country.........?
Several years ago, friends took me to one of the German Communities outside San Antonio and we ate at an Alsace restaurant. I've always thought it was in Fredricksburg. However, after more recent trips, I think Fredricksburg is too far as I don't think this area was any further than 30 minutes away. Wasn't New Braunfels or Gruene--can anyone help me? There were also lots of antique shops (and trees) around the town

May have been New Braunfels, about 30 minutes north of SA. Several German restaurants there as well as antique shops. Also, I did a google of Alsace and New Braunfels and came up with this:
