Where to Stay on Cape Cod

We are looking for a nice location on Cape Cod to rent a home for one week.

We are looking for an area that would provide a nice beach we could go to with our one year old daughter, a location that would be near things to do, and just an all around nice town.

Also, any must do activities would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I can't tell you about Cape Cod, but when you do find a location, you might want to check out some vacation rental by owner web sites. I have a condo in Cape May, NJ that I rent out through http://www.vrbo.com. They have vacation rentals by owner all over. Other sites to check into are http://www.vacation-properties.com, http://www.vrr.com. Hope this helps.

I would suggest. Wellfleet. I've gone the last 3 years and love it. It has fresh water ponds that have nice little beaches and grass and shade and you are only a mile or 2 from both the bay and the ocean. It's a real nice town out towards the end of the cape, about 15 miles from Provincetown and it's surrounded by the National Shore Park so it's fairly uncrowded. There are also great biking or hiking trails and the only Drive-In theater in Mass. You can get listings for rentals on line. I think you can try capecod.com and look for Wellfleet. If you decide to go maybe my 3 year old can teach your 1 year how to swim. I would recommend you find a place soon. Oh yeah-They even have a big square dance by the harbor. Also you can sail in the bay or on one of the big ponds. As you can tell we had a great time. Enjoy

Before I read the last reply I was thinking of Wellfleet. Absolutely agree. Away from the commercial zone but close enough to find things to do. Its a long ride to get there but you'll be glad made the trip. Must spend a day at the Beach at the Beachcomer Restaurant - a personal favorite.

Go early in the week because you'll want to go back.
