Where to stay just south of Redwoods National Park?

Jump to last reply

Planning a vacation for next fall and would like some recommendations on lodging on the south end of the Redwoods park. Last trip (2011) we stayed on the north end in Crescent City at Curly Redwoods Motel (thanks for the recommendation). This time, would like to stay north of Eureka to explore some scenery and day hikes at the south side.

So, looking to stay in area where some restaurants are available but close as possible to the parks area. Have eliminated Klamath (close but a bit too rustic and not enough food options). Hotels as well as B&Bs, but not hostels. Although it would be nice to stay in a unique place, we might settle for something like a Hampton if we need to.

Ideas?
