I'm going to Wichita to see a concert in October.
Can anybody suggest a very nice hotel in Wichita
that accepts pets? Any good restaurants or
shopping?

Hope it's not too late... I always stay at the Holiday Inn East. A 1BR suite can be had for ~$75.00, & it's right near Towne East Mall for shopping (not sure about pets tho) Directly across Kellog Street is a fine Mexican place, as well as others as diverse as a 60's style diner & the oyster bar. All told, a convenient, safe part of town.
Hotel at Old Town is in a historic old building that was recently renovated. The Hyatt on the river downtown is nice. If you want economy, we have a Fairfield Inn and a Holiday Inn Express. As for shopping, Bradley Fair is located at 21st and Rock Road. Lots of upscale shops and good restaurants.
