Where to stay at Grand Wailea & Grand Hyatt
We've chosen two big resorts - mostly because I know our kids will love the pools. I'm wondering if there are different areas within the resorts to choose that are more kid friendly and closer to the pools (is it even an option to choose where you book?). The first is the Grand Wailea in Maui and the second is the Grand Hyatt in Kauai. Kids will be 14 &12 when we go so not very young, but still young enough that they love a great pool. Thank you!

The Grand Hyatt Kauai has some ground floor rooms that have walk out access to the grounds and the pool. They will probably be upgraded views so will cost more. You can call Hyatt reservations or call the hotel directly and find out what the rate might be. We usually stay in the Shipwreck wing but last year were given a room in the Poipu wing with a partial ocean view. The resort wings are really spread out so be ready for some walking. We don't mind and just love the Grand Hyatt.
