Where to go next in Italy
My husband and I are going on a cruise that takes off from Rome at the end of November, and we're planning on spending a few days somewhere in Italy before hand, 4 max. We've already been to Rome and Florence and were wondering where to go next? Although northern Italy is most appealing, we live in the mountains of Colorado and want to escape the cold. Would it be too late to go to the wine country or should we go south? Any suggestions would be great! Where would you go and what would you do?

At the end of November Italy won;t be very warm - although it will be warmer than CO. I would stick with a city - since the days are short, it may well be chilly and rainy outdoors, Tuscany will likely not look like anythng - and many sights have shorter winter hours (some only open in the am - from 10 am to 2 pm, for instance).
You could still rent a car and see some of the hill towns - but they won;t be there best under grey and possibly rainy skies. (Although for that matter - the whole Med may well be similar - unless you are spending time in Egypt/North Africa.
