We are going to Orlando Dec 28th to visit friends and see the sights for three nights, then we have reservations in Palm Beach 4 nights later to visit family (my daughter).
The question is, "where do we stay for three nights" in between?
This incorporates New Years Eve.
We're checking out of the Orlando hotel the day of Dec 31st.
It's my fiance and I.
I know there's a lot to do in Orlando, and we'll be happy in Palm Beach, staying at the Breakers, and visiting my daughter who just moved to the area.
We love South Beach, but wonder about the drive there, and the availability of hotels over New Years.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
Where to go for three nights between Orlando and Palm Beach, Florida?

The "drive"?????? You are already driving to Palm Beach so what's another hour?
Just extend one of the reservations you already have. You are not talking about a very long drive to any of the places you mention. It's not like you need to stop over night between Orlando and Palm Beach.
Schmerl, That's what we are thinking of doing... extending the reservation for accommodations in one of the two places we've already got reservations at.
We may just wing it.
It'd give us a good opportunity to see what comes up, and I've always wanted to try Priceline!
Thanks.
If you would like to go to a different place, there are a lot of options. You could go to Vero Beach, Fort Lauderdale, the Cape Canaveral area. There are lots of options. And as other posters have said, it's only about another hour's drive from Palm Beach down to Miami, so South Beach is definitely within reach. It's not that much farther. It's less than 4 hours from Orlando if the traffic isn't bad. Or you could also go up to St. Augustine, which has a lot of historical interest, though that would make a long drive back down to Palm Beach.
Its hard to top a stay at the Breakers but if you want to add an additional destination...particularly over New Years....the first place that comes to mind is Delray Beach...its only about 1/2 hour south of the Breakers but they have a great New Years event & the town itself is just so lively....I'd look at the Sundy House, Delray Marriott or The Seagate Hotel....all within walking distance of the NYE events, beach & tons of shopping & dining!
I was thinking of Delray, too. It's an interesting place, but not quite so crazy as SB.
I think that it was a great idea to suggest Delray it is not worth it to come all the Way to the madness of South Beath and have to drive one hour and half to Pam Beach.
