Where to get groceries while in Waikiki?
We will be in Waikiki for 1 day before goint to other islands. We are staying in a hotel. However, I would like to get bottled water to go to Hanauma Bay. Where is a decent place to shop for misc. items like that? How far from airport or Waikiki?
Thanks,
CAthy

Why is everyone so obsessed about drinking bottled water? What's wrong with the water that's coming out of the tap? I've been drinking that for the past 30 years and I'm still alive and healthy!!!!! However, if you persist, the last post's correct. Foodland at Koko Marina. You can also get your lunch there at a much better price than in Waikiki.

ABC stores, have everything. You can't miss them, they are on every street corner, and sometimes in the major hotels. If you want food, the closest grocery store in the waikiki area, is the Food Pantry, which is located across the street from the Miramar Hotel, which is located on Kuhio Ave.

As a lifelong resident of the beautiful state of Hawaii I say drink the tap water. We have such great water! Why bother with the neutral taste of bottled? If you were going to Los Angeles or Boston or China maybe, but Hawaii!!!
ABC Stores and Food Pantry are excellent recommendations if you're already in Waikiki. If you're going to Hanauma Bay, stop at Hawaii Kai Shopping Center/Koko Marina Shopping Center. There's a Foodland for water if you must, a Kozo Sushi for fast food sushi, etc. Have a great time in Hawaii. We're freezing right now since the daytime temperature has dropped to the high 70s!

Eh, Milton, if they're at Koko Marina Foodland they might as well stop at Costco.
It's true that the Honolulu aquifer has some of the world's most pristine water. It's silly that anyone would consider bottled water.
Now what about this posting from work business? Is this what you hgea guys do at work? Maybe those pay raises really are not in order. It's enough to make a republican out of me! When I post from work, at the very least I use my handy email alias (above).

I gotta admit that the tap water in Hawaii Kai sucks! Cheez, you pay all that money to live there and the water tastes like it comes from LA! Best water comes from Aiea or Nuuanu. Forget Costco. They only sell in two sizes: big or bigger! Lots of good/ono eating places around Hawaii Kai Shopping Centre. Much more pleasant than eating in Waikiki, and a lot cheaper!!!!!
